The funding was awarded following an application submitted by the Maldives Heritage Society in response to an opportunity announced by the Laamu Atoll Council to provide financial assistance to clubs and non-governmental organizations operating within the atoll.

The support will contribute to the Society’s ongoing efforts in heritage conservation, cultural awareness, community engagement, and the promotion of the rich cultural and natural heritage of Laamu Atoll. The agreement reflects the Council’s continued commitment to supporting community organizations and initiatives that benefit the people of the atoll.
