The Canadian High Commissioner to the Maldives and Sri Lanka met with representatives of the Maldives Heritage Society to discuss matters related to heritage conservation and development.

The meeting served as a valuable opportunity to explore potential areas of cooperation and support that Canada could provide for heritage-related initiatives in the Maldives. Discussions covered a broad range of topics, including heritage preservation, capacity building, research, and opportunities for future collaboration.

The Maldives Heritage Society expressed its appreciation for the meeting and looks forward to strengthening international partnerships that contribute to the protection and promotion of the Maldives’ rich cultural and historical heritage.
