Representatives of the Maldives Heritage Society visited L. Hithadhoo to explore opportunities for the conservation, sustainable management, and effective utilization of the island’s natural and cultural heritage resources.

The visit focused on identifying potential initiatives that could help protect Hithadhoo’s heritage assets while maximizing their benefits for the local community through education, cultural preservation, and sustainable heritage tourism. The Society also met with local stakeholders and visited key heritage locations to better understand the island’s unique heritage potential.

The visit was facilitated and coordinated by the L. Hithadhoo Council, whose support contributed to the successful conduct of the field assessment.
