Information Board Installed at Historic Fonadhoo Mosque
The Maldives Heritage Society has today completed the installation of an information board about the historic mosque located in Laamu Fonadhoo within the mosque compound. The information board was installed with the assistance and support of the L. Fonadhoo Council.
Located within the mosque compound is the shrine of the renowned Islamic scholar of Maldivian history, Fonadhoo Dhan’nakaleygefaanu, also known as Al-Allama Al-Faqeeh Mohamed Sirajuddin. The site is considered one of the important historical and religious heritage landmarks in the Maldives.
