Maathundi Pvt Ltd Supports Gan Heritage Trail Tree Planting Initiative

As part of the ongoing “Heritage Trail” project (Tharika Magu Project) being developed in Laamu Gan to connect the island’s natural and cultural heritage sites, Maathundi Private Limited today carried out a tree donation and tree planting activity along the trail.
The Maldives Heritage Society extends sincere appreciation to the Managing Director of Maathundi Pvt Ltd, Abdul Wahhab Abdulla, for generously donating a large number of bamboo plants for planting along the heritage trail and for actively participating in the initiative. As a former Laamu Atoll Councillor and a long-serving public servant who served as Gan Katheeb and in the island office and council, he also personally planted a tree along the trail.
The Tharika Magu project is funded by Laamu Atoll Council and the Six Senses Laamu resort. The project is progressing with the support of Laamu Gan Council and in collaboration with the Out reef sports Club.
We warmly welcome individuals and organizations interested in participating in the tree planting activities or contributing trees to support this environmental and heritage conservation initiative.
