The Tour Guide Training by Maldives Heritage Society begins

The Tour Guide Training for the Paree Fenganda Platform Project has officially commenced in Laamu Gan. Organized by the Maldives Heritage Society, the initiative aims to equip local youth with the knowledge and skills needed to become professional guides for protected natural heritage areas such as Paree Fenganda, along with other important cultural heritage sites in the island.
This training program focuses on empowering the next generation to actively participate in preserving, promoting, and sharing the rich natural and cultural heritage of Maldives with both visitors and the wider community. Participants will gain valuable insight into heritage interpretation, environmental awareness, visitor engagement, and sustainable tourism practices.
The program is conducted in collaboration with GAGE Training Institute, L. Gan Women's Development Committee, Endheri, and the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, reflecting a shared commitment to heritage conservation, youth empowerment, and sustainable community development.
