7 June 2026 – We are thrilled to announce that the Maldives Heritage Society has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Javaabu. This partnership marks a significant step forward in our mission to conserve, preserve, and promote the rich cultural and natural heritage of the Maldives.

The agreement was signed today at the Javaabu office. Our President, Thoha AbuBakur & Secretary General Ahmed Afrah, represented the Maldives Heritage Society, alongside Mohamed Jailam, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Javaabu.

Under this exciting new MoU, Javaabu will generously provide us with free access to DhivehiGPT. This innovative tool will greatly support our administrative work. Furthermore, this collaboration opens up unique opportunities for us to contribute our linguistic and cultural expertise to Javaabu’s vital research in Dhivehi language artificial intelligence.
