The Maldives Heritage Society (MHS), in collaboration with Hamad School, recently hosted a cultural heritage session for Addu High School students at the ancient Haththeli archaeological site in Gan, Laamu Atoll.

The session was part of the students' academic field trip, designed to bridge classroom learning with real-world history. Facilitators highlighted the importance of preserving the nation's monuments, teaching students that sites like Haththeli serve as living testaments to the Maldives' ancient history, its transition to Islam, and early Maldivian craftsmanship.

This initiative is part of the MHS’s ongoing "Heritage for Youth" campaign. Launched in 2022, the program actively conducts educational sessions for local school children, youth, and both domestic and international university students to foster a new generation dedicated to cultural preservation.
