The Maldives Heritage Society conducted a heritage tour for students from La Trobe University during their visit to the Maldives.

The tour provided participants with an opportunity to explore and learn about the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Maldives. Students were introduced to significant heritage sites, their historical background, cultural importance, and the ongoing efforts being undertaken to preserve and promote these valuable assets.

Throughout the tour, the students gained insights into Maldivian history, traditions, archaeology, and community-based heritage conservation initiatives. The program also highlighted the importance of safeguarding cultural heritage and its role in strengthening identity, education, and sustainable tourism.
