The Maldives Heritage Society has today begun cleanliness and maintenance work at heritage sites in Laamu Gan.

The work includes cleaning and maintaining the heritage trail connecting the historic “Haiytheli” heritage site and the natural heritage site known as Bodafenganda, more commonly referred to as Pareefenganda. The initiative aims to improve the condition and accessibility of these important cultural and natural heritage areas.

This work was carried out following a public announcement by the Laamu Gan Council, which invited interested parties to undertake the maintenance activities. The Society was awarded the work through a competitive bidding process.
