Contract Awarded for Maintenance of Gan Heritage Sites
The responsibility for the cleaning and maintenance of the Haiytheli area, Pareefenganda, and the Heritage Trail in Laamu Gan has been officially awarded to the Maldives Heritage Society.
The agreement was signed at the office of the Laamu Gan Council. Under the agreement, the Society will undertake regular cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep of these important cultural and natural heritage areas.
To carry out the work, the Society will recruit dedicated staff who will be responsible for maintaining the sites and ensuring that the heritage areas remain clean, accessible, and welcoming to both residents and visitors. The initiative is expected to contribute to the preservation and promotion of Gan’s unique cultural and natural heritage while enhancing the visitor experience at these important sites.
