Gan Council and Maldives Heritage Society Sign Agreement to Clear Heritage Trail Route
The Laamu Gan Council and the Maldives Heritage Society have signed an agreement for the clearing of the route designated for the development of the “Heritage Trail” project.
The Heritage Trail Project is a collaborative initiative of the Maldives Heritage Society and Outreef Sports Club, implemented with the support of the Laamu Atoll Council and the Laamu Gan Council.
The project aims to create a trail linking Gan’s natural and cultural heritage sites, allowing residents and visitors to experience the island’s unique heritage while promoting conservation, environmental awareness, and sustainable tourism. The trail-clearing work will be carried out with care to protect the surrounding natural environment, and no trees will be cut as part of the project.
