The Maldives Heritage Society met today with the Minister of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage, Hon. Adam Naseer Ibrahim, to discuss matters related to heritage conservation and preservation in the Maldives.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the challenges facing archaeological and historic heritage sites in Haddhunmathi, as well as potential measures and collaborative efforts to address these issues and strengthen their protection.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to brief the Minister on the Society’s ongoing initiatives and to discuss ways in which the Ministry could support the Society’s heritage conservation, research, awareness, and community engagement activities.

The Maldives Heritage Society expressed its appreciation to the Minister for his time and interest in supporting efforts to safeguard the nation’s cultural and historical heritage for future generations.
